Brimonidine has been reported to be effective in "therapies for the redness and flushing of rosacea."

Why would a drug used for the lowering of intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension or used to to induce miosis for people suffering from poor night vision after Lasik or PRK surgery be effective in treating rosacea?
